“The history of the Russian state” is a significant historical work, a work that has become a large phenomenon in Russian art prose. Its author, an outstanding Russian writer, historian and publicist Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin (1766 - 1826) In 1803, by decree of Emperor Alexander I, Karamzin was appointed historiographer and was engaged in the writing of the “History of the Russian State”, which became the main difficulty in his life and a whole phenomenon in Russian history.
