The album presents about three hundred works of the coat of the twentieth century from the collection of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative and Applied and Folk Arts and private collections dedicated to the most vivid events of the Russian history of the twentieth century, created in 1920-2017 by the artists of Palekh, Kholuya, Msters and Fedoskino. World wars and revolutions, political figures and folk heroes, discoveries in science and transformation of everyday life - these and many other subjects are collected, systematized and commented on by the head of the varnish miniature painting of VMDPNI, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, Academician of the European Academy of Natural Sciences L. L. L. Pirogova.
