The monograph examines the issues of socio-religious search in Russian society in the 2nd half of the XIX-early XX centuries. and the story of writers, philosophers and liberal reformers of the social movement in 1901-1913.
The author comes to the conclusion that it was born and functioned as a fundamentally new, socio-religious movement, which set its success in direct dependence on the reaction to it of the Russian Church.
In this context, the influence of Roman-Catholic modernism (1890-1914) on God-players and social Christians is shown for the first time, the discussion of 1907-1911 is analyzed. Neo Christian and Marxists about the place of religion in the revolution.
Documents from 34 funds of 9 archives of St. Petersburg (TsGIA, RGIA, RND), Moscow (RGB, RGALI, GARF, CHI PSTU, RGASPI), Vilnius (RO BVA), compositions of church and secular thinkers 2 were involved in the study -y floor.
