This book is a tribute to the famous cultural figure, the “superstar "of the XX century, the popularizer of Russian art is Sergey Pavlovich Diaghilev. One of the founders of the Association "World of Art", the organizer of the "Russian Seasons" in Paris, the curator, as they would now say, international exhibition projects.
This publication contains and catalogs the works shown at exhibitions in which Sergey Diaghilev took an active part, as well as other artistic works. They reveal to the reader a whole era of aesthetics, "art for art": this is the symbolism of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries and earlier periods of art of Russia. The publication united such artists as Nesterov, Levitan, Serov, Ober, Vrubel and Lanser, Bryullov, Ge, Ryabushkin, Somov, Roerich, Malyavin, Borisov-Musatov and others
