The monograph covers a wide range of issues related to the study of the mechanism of state accounting of subjects of the Russian Empire. The reasons for the transition to the per capita form of the inhabitants of the country at the beginning of the 18th century were considered, the evolution of the revisial office work, its complication and improvement was traced.
