The collection is dedicated to the anniversary of the doctor of art history, the head of the department of the Classical Art of the Western of the State Institute of Art, the professor of the Department of History and the theory of the world culture of the Philosophy of the Moscow State University M.I. Sviderskaya, which rightfully occupies a number of scientists who have devoted life to the study of the Renaissance and the XVII century. The field of scientific interests of Sviderskaya includes a wide range of issues from the Renaissance to the art of the 19th century. She owns a great contribution to the problems of studying the masters of early and high revival, creative individuality of Leonardo da Vinci. Today, when Russian science is experiencing a period of transformation, it is important to comprehend and preserve those Russian scientific traditions that have been ensured by Russian science vitality and advanced positions in world science. The collection includes articles on a wide range of cultural problems, such as the problem of style, the problem of the ratio of art and philosophical issues of the era, the problem of Italian influence in culture. The collection includes work on art criticism, theater studies, musicology and cultural studies.
