Categories of Russian medieval culture

The book conducts historical and phenomenological research of Russian medieval culture. The author’s task was to show that the beginning of the historical and phenomenological description of culture through its categorical analysis was made, the first step was taken in the reconstruction of the holistic "picture of the world" of a Russian medieval person. The author studied the lexical and semantic fundamental priority of a certain "foundation" of medieval worldview. The categorical description of the culture makes it possible to hermenely understand the medieval person based on how he realized himself. Such fundamental concepts as “Christian faith” and "truth ”represent a special world of mental activity, moral experiences of man. The identification of the semantic foundations of these concepts allows us to speak of self -awareness of a medieval person in the "faith of Christian" and in the "truth"
