Tim Hart presents a detailed study of the images and concepts of speed that permeated Russian modernist poetry, visual arts and cinema. His study shows that a wide range of experimental artistic trends of the first quarter of the 19th century was based on the ideas of speed and dynamism, but it was this desire for speed after the 1917 revolution in a paradoxically and accelerated the death of the whole movement
