The book is dedicated to the history of small communities of the Assyrians who settled in the twentieth century in a number of cities of the Kostroma province, primarily in Kostroma and Kineshm. Although the first Assyrians appeared there in the second half of the 19th century, the main stream of immigrants are refugees of the First World War, saved from the genocide of Christians in the east of Turkey.
