In the vicinity of St. Petersburg, for 200 years of its imperial history, a real constellation of imperial residences has been formed. At the same time, the Aleksandrovsky Palace occupies a special place among the suburban imperial residences, and primarily because the lamentation of the tragic fate of the last imperial family - the family of Nicholas II lay on its walls. It was from this palace that the family was taken away early in the morning of August 1, 1917 to Siberia, from where they were not destined to return ... Today the palace lives a new life. There is a constant exposition telling about its history and owners. The museum space of the second floor and basement is mastered, new front halls are restored and open ...
