Alexander Ivanovich Herzen and the historical destinies of Russia

On June 20-21, 2012, the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held by the International Scientific Conference “Alexander Herzen and the historical fate of Russia” dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the famous thinker, writer and publicist Alexander Ivanovich Herzen. The book of materials of the conference included reports of the leading Herzenovs of Russia and Europe (A. Paletsky, J. Niva. K. Amasher, A. Kara-Murza. I. Pantin, etc), dedicated to various aspects of the Herzen"s heritage.
The book is addressed to the widest circle of readers: philosophers, historians, culturalists, as well as all those interested in Russian socio-political thought of the 19th century
