Not far from the southern capital of Kazakhstan of the city of Almaty (until 1921, the city is true), in the Aksai gorge, on the mountain, called the Kyzyl-heat, which in Russian means a red breakage, surrounded by Tien Shanski rods there is a wooden worship cross. The inscription was carved on his foot: Ieromona Seraphim and Feoganuts martyrdom killed 29.VII / 11.VIII 1921. In the history of Saint Orthodoxy in Kazakhstan, in the sacred chronicle of the Alma-Ata diocese, not one bright page of the mobility life, the martyrdom of these hieromonakhs, as well as their prayerful posthumous concepts and signs, was inscribed.
A special place in the history of the spread of Orthodox faith in the Semirechensk region of Kazakhstan, in approval of the Orthodox tradition, the names of the priests of the Nikolo-Kuchogur Church of the city of the right, the Sacred Martyrs of Alexander Skalsky, Stephen Ponomarev and Philippe Grigoriev.
