The fairy tale in the poems "crocodile" is the first children"s work of Kornea Chukovsky - was first printed in 1917 under the name "Vanya and Crocodile". The book was awaiting striking, unheard of success in the children"s audience. Chukovsky so explained the meaning of his fairy tale: This is a poem of a heroic, which encourages feats. A bold boy saves the whole city from wild beasts, frees a little girl from captivity, fights with monsters and so on.
In the first part of the fairy tales - the struggle of Vanya Vasilchikov with a cruel crocodile to save the whole city. In the second part - a protest against imprisonment of free animals in the close cells of the zero and the liberation hike bears, elephants, monkeys to liberate the enslaved animals. In the third part - the heroic battle of Vanya, protecting oppressed and weak. At the end of the third part - a protest against the conquest wars: Vanya frees animals from Zvezartsev, but invites them to disarm, cut the horns and fangs. Those agree, stop the death slaughter and begin to live in cities on the basis of a fraternal community ... At the end of the poem, the future light age is chased when the murder and war will cease ...
The fairy tale turned out to be all-time. Children perceive her as a history of a brave boy, thoughtful adults will see the anti-war pamphlet in it and ask themselves the question: did the author guessed that he portrayed in the "Crocodile" one of the most serious global conflicts of the XXI century: the confrontation of nature and civilization?
The entire fairy tale sparkles and transfers the most intricate, the most exquisite rhythms - singing, dancing, marching, rapidly, spill-long. Each change of rhythm is timed to a new turn of the action, the emergence of a new character or new circumstances, to the change of decorations and the emergence of another mood. Under to become a plot and tale tale, the expressive, undeservedly forgotten illustrations of the Multiplier artists Vadim Kurchevsky and Nikolai Serebryakov.
It is recommended for children of pre-school and younger school age, as well as adults, not indifferent to children"s classical literature
