Grigory Naumovich Breitman (June 8, 1873, Odessa - January 7, 1949, Chicago) was a writer, journalist, and publicist. His pseudonym was Gr. Nevolin. He was the publisher and editor of the Kiev newspaper "Poslednie Novosti." He authored a book of stories called "The Truth of Life" (1907), which was destroyed, and he was sentenced to two years in prison for the story "Crime" published in the newspaper "St. Petersburg Vedomosti." Breitman was actively interested in the criminal world, criminal music, thieves' jargon, and wrote crime stories. In 1919, he emigrated to Germany, where he was the editor of the Berlin newspaper "Vremya" (1921-1924). From 1925, he lived in the USA, working for the New York newspaper "Russkiy Golos," and from 1930, he was the editor of the Chicago newspaper "Rassvet."
