The book presents the main works of Academician I.N. Fridlyander, which consider theoretical and practical aspects of the creation of aluminum alloys, issues related to their metallurgy, technology and use. Information is given on two discoveries made by I.N. Fridlyander according to previously unknown laws, one of which is called the "effect of Friedlander". The properties of developed industrial aluminum alloys are considered, many of them are proposed for the first time in world practice. The volume of use of the developed materials in the products of the aviation and rocket and space industries is shown. The list of works of I.N. Fridlyander, numbering more than 700 items, is given. An introductory article is given, which reflects the life and creative paths of Academician I.N. Fridlyander, as well as excerpts from his book "Memories of the creation of air -horn and atomic technique from aluminum alloys", in which he shares the most striking moments of his life with the reader.
