For sixty-three years, Berta lived peacefully on Cranberry Hill. She fished, walked, tended to her garden, and watched her favorite bloggers Dasha Dve Metelki, Sharmanukus, and ObaLensky. She talked to her sister Myrta through the kitchen faucet: Myrta loved water so much that she once decided to live in the river and stayed there.
In the summer, not far from the hill, an annoying children's camp came to life. Its inhabitants made noise, littered, broke branches, and scared the respectable beaver family. Berta couldn't even imagine in her worst nightmare that she would soon steal a child from the camp. Well, not steal - she would save the three-month-old girl Marusya from boredom, loneliness, and bullying.
Now the reclusive Berta has to look after the unfamiliar child for almost the entire summer, especially since the girl had a tragedy at home. Marusya's mother fell ill and stopped recognizing her. How can you comfort someone in such a situation?
But despite everything, Marusya and Berta have a great time together. The girl gradually changes the life of the unfriendly resident of Cranberry Hill. And the most difficult thing for Berta turns out to be letting Marusya go when the summer finally comes to an end.
