Is it possible to forget how parents brought the Christmas tree and put it on the balcony so that it would not crumble ahead of time. And we, through the frozen windows, admired her. There is an amazing place in Moscow. This is the Center for Crafts "Family Traditions", in which the manufactory of the Moscow toy ”was created. This is the only place in Russia that is engaged in the revival of a traditional cotton toy at a professional level. In the manufacture of such toys, only environmentally friendly materials are used. This is cotton wool, starch -based braister, wire frame and acrylic or water -based watercolor paints.
Under the manufactory "Moscow Toy", the first museum of a cotton toy in Moscow is opened. It is located on the territory of the Nikolo-Pereervinsky monastery in the ancient cell of the 18th century. This is a very picturesque place in which you can see not only modern cotton toys, but also ancient, including the times of the Great Patriotic War. The museum exposition consists of unique collection toys and rare exhibits of the times of the Russian Empire, the USSR, the Russian Federation. The museum collection traces the history of 100 unique old and modern New Year"s cotton toys, cardboard, decor elements of pre -revolutionary and Soviet Russia. At the exhibition stands are toys of 22 famous artels, factories and art workshops for the production of toys, from the 1920s to the present day.
But, along with educational museum programs, the Center for Crafts conducts free training in the mastery of a cotton toy for mothers for children with developmental and health, including large children, older women, left without work, specialists and correctional teachers. The museum regularly hosts master classes available for those who wish all ages and regions.
Our museum and, published together with the publishing house "Format" magazines and books on a cotton toy, will help you make your toy and learn a lot of interesting things about it.
