The “Guild of embroiderers”, founded in 1906 in the UK, collected an impressive collection of embroideries: more than 6,000 beautiful works from around the world, performed in different styles and techniques. The author of the book, Annette Collinj, the textile artist and the head of one of the guild branches, prepared a real exhibition from the best samples of the collection, united by a common topic: flowers. She fascinatingly talks about each exhibit, whether it be a bead bag of the beginning of the 20th century, a Canadian birch bark casket, embroidered with moose hair, or bright Chinese cuffs of the 19th century, decorated with tiny Beijing nodules. The variety of materials is amazing: ribbons, silk, cotton and wool, fish scales and plastic nets, ribbons, leather, felt and sparkles ... Great color photos will make it possible to consider all samples in detail, and detailed descriptions will introduce you to the amazing history of embroidery and inspire you to inspire you Creation of your own masterpieces
