The book discusses the kinematics and dynamics of the drilling process, shows the dependence of the torque on the cutting forces and the parameters of the drilling mode. The surfaces and secant planes of drills, labor movements, the speed of working movements, the angular parameters of drills in coordinate planes are considered. The types of drills are presented: spiral, spiral with conical sharpening, center and cutters, screw drills, screws. The output of the mathematical model of drilling is made, the effect on the depth of drilling diameter of the drill and the supply to the tooth is shown. An experimental verification of the mathematical model is shown. The process of removing chips from the hole along the screw grooves of the drill is described. The designs of drilling machines, drilling filler, drilling, radial, radial, and CNC machines are considered, and the features of compiling control programs for drilling machines with CNC are considered. The rules for setting up machine tools, the rules for safe operation on machines are given.
