Knitting is loved all over the world. It is no secret that every country has its own specifics or even a special fashion for certain patterns and techniques. In the world community of knitters, Japanese motifs are in popularity almost in the first place and remain in demand for many years and decades!
What is the peculiarity of Japanese knitting? First of all, in technology. Japanese motifs are characterized by a combination of openwork, knitted with classic and crossed facial and wrong loops, with a variety of combined harnesses, carved by the movement of loops (arana), as well as the displacement of hinges in the canvas. All patterns presented in this book look very unusual, including due to different refraction of light in areas connected by classic facial and wrong loops, as well as additional relief formed when using crossed loops and moving them.
The author gives all the necessary information about materials and tools, as well as a short knitting course, which will be useful to beginner craftswomen. Samples of varying degrees of complexity are broken into groups and are accompanied by descriptions, color photographs and understandable schemes.
The author of this book is Elena Gukova, a well-known knitter, head of knitting master classes and author of a collection of jacquard motifs!
