The album of the "costume in the Russian style" is dedicated to the bright but forgotten phenomenon of material culture and fashion. An elegant city costume made of embroidered and lace strips appeared in the late XIX - early XX centuries, when the so -called Russian style began to spread in decorative art, which was based on the creative processing of the historical traditions of the Russian people. For the first time, a collection of such costumes from the meetings of Russian and foreign museums is presented in the book. The publication also discusses the characteristic features and techniques of decorating traditional folk clothing - the prototype of the costume in the Russian style.
