The book publishes all the watercolors of the “Paris series” by G. E. Opitsa, dedicated to the stay of the Cossacks in the French capital after the capture of the city by Russian troops in 1814: all kinds of household details, the relations of the Cossacks with local residents, various funny are reflected here. Cases noticed by the view of the artist. The “watercolor” part is preceded by two articles dedicated to the role of Cossacks in the imperial army and the opice itself and its paintings.
