"Correspondent" is a novel about the creative work of a Soviet journalist in Turkey against the backdrop of the rise to power of Turkish leader Turgut Ozal. The narrative covers the period from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. The main character is correspondent Andrey Tabak, a brilliant Turkologist who dreams of writing a Book. He tries to combine journalism with writing. The background of the correspondent's life and work is the events of 'Turkey, which we do not know'. The reader will see the country long before the concept of 'all-inclusive' appeared, immerse themselves in the twists and turns of Turkish politics and economics - which largely determined today's Turkey. The novel will be interesting for those interested in Turkey, its history, journalism, and writing. There have been no similar works in Russian about this country before.
