In recent decades, the company began to be considered an organization managed in the interests of shareholders, where management acts as a shareholders agent, and employees serve as simple tools to maximize the value of shares. This book revises this point of view. In it, corporations are considered as associative cognitive systems in which "cognitive actions" are distributed among managers and employees, and shareholders provide "cognitive tools" and monitor their use in systems.
