Robert Michael Ballantin (1825-1894) is a famous Scottish writer, famous for adventure stories for youth. His best book, Coral Island, was published in 1857. It was she who inspired the young Robert Lewis Stevenson to write about marine adventures, thanks to which his famous novel “Treasure Island” was born
