He studied at the University of Geneva (1910) He worked in the St. Petersburg Botanical Garden. In 1916-1923 He headed the Batuman Botanical Garden. Contributed to the introduction of tea culture in the Caucasus. He created the school of Paleobotanikov. Member of many scientific societies. The collection includes books: 1) Palibin I.V. Tea.
