Conversations about faith and the Church

The collection of conversations and speeches by Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh (Bloom, 1914-2003) was conceived primarily as catechetical. Its main task is to introduce people to the basics of Orthodoxy, to help them take their first steps in the Church. Here, not only the content matters, but also the deeply personal, trusting intonation. It protects both the speaker and the listeners from mechanical interaction, teaching them to open their hearts to the Good News. Metropolitan Anthony seeks to preserve and convey to his interlocutors not so much knowledge about the Church, but the living experience of church life.
