Conflict Management: Diagnosis

Analysis of conflicts and management of conflict processes is becoming increasingly important for managers, since the potential of conflicts is constantly increasing. This is due to, on the one hand, the rapid pace of transformations in enterprises, and on the other hand, the globalization and the associated confrontation of various cultures.
Gerhard Schwartz, a recognized conflict management expert describes a variety of initiatives on rational conflict treatment. He explains in understandable form, what significance conflicts have and how important it is to be able to recognize them. His typology of conflict resolution is very important: escape, destruction, submission, delegation, compromise and consensus.
In the sixth German edition, from which the translation of this reference work was carried out, an interesting additional information is given, primarily on conflict analysis.
