A practical guide on working with the Aspen Plus program using specific examples demonstrates the principles of computer modeling of heterogeneous technological equipment (heat exchangers, reactors, columns, etc.), including electrolyte systems and processes with solid phase. The material of the book is divided into chapters that sequentially reveal individual techniques for working with the Aspen Plus program. Throughout the material, some typical errors that may occur during modeling are indicated, and ways to correct them are shown. The book is intended for practical study of computer modeling methods of chemical-technological processes using the Aspen Plus program, including in advanced training courses, and can be recommended to chemical engineers and technologists involved in process development and solving calculation-technological design tasks, as well as to students, master's students, and postgraduates wishing to acquire skills in computer modeling of chemical-technological processes. The modeling principles presented are applicable both in creating new and optimizing existing productions. The proposed practical guide is sufficient for successful mastering of the Aspen Plus v.11 program at a basic level.
