For the first time in the world scientific and technical literature, the phenomenon of software and hardware trojans, which are actually a technological platform for modern and promising information and technical weapons (cyber weapons), was sequentially and in detail, in the world"s scientific and technical literature. The material of the encyclopedia is presented in the form of 12 chapters.
In the first introductory chapter, which generalizes the results of the analysis of technical capabilities and restrictions on modern weapons (atomic, space, seismic, climatic, various types of microwaves), it is shown that the development of all “ordinary” and “latest” types of weapons has reached to such a stage that their real use in practice will be equivalent to the suicide of the party that began the war. Awareness of this fact led to the development of information and technical weapons (cyber weapons and neuro-weapons) Chapter 2 examines the concepts, methods, technical means and examples of the implementation of this type of weapon. Chapter 3 discusses the main types of software trojans, viruses and spy programs, which usually act in jointly in cyberoperations, protecting and helping each other. Chapter 4 clearly shows the evolutionary path of the development of hardware trojans from “boxes” and “boxes” to microcircuits, gives examples of their use in computers, servers, mobile phones, cars and even in human clothing and shoes. The chapters from the 5th to the 9th in detail consider the main types of Trojans in microcircuits, the principles of their design and work, methods of implementation, methods of their masking, detection in microcircuits, as well as protection and opposition. The chapters from the 10th to the 12th represent a detailed comparative retrospective analysis of the foundations of state policy in the USA and Russia in the field of ensuring the safety of channels for the supply of microcircuits.
