The theory and methods of solving various variation problems with illustrations of analytical and numerical ways of solving them are set out. The emphasis is on numerical solutions using the mathematical package Mathcad. All solutions are brought to "numbers". The applications provide algorithms and programs. The basis is based on lectures that were given by the author at the faculty of computer technology and applied mathematics.
For students studying in areas 03/01/02 "Applied Mathematics and Informatics", 02.03.02 "Fundamental Information and Information Technologies", 02.03.03 "Mathematical support and administration of information systems", 09.03.03 "Applied Informatics" When studying the discipline "Variation Calculation and Optimal Management", as well as graduate students studying in the specialty 05.13.18 "Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and programs of programs" (physical and mathematical sciences)
