The second part added in this publication contains a material that will be useful to database developers and DBMS. It discusses in detail storage structures, methods of execution and optimization of requests, additional capabilities of the SQL language, means of supporting consistency and reliability. The data programming tools for database servers, means of expanding the functionality of PostgreSQL, issues of creating systems with replication, parallel and distributed database systems.
