The book is devoted to the study of the TCP/IP protocol stack - the Internet Internet technological basis. The TCP/IP protocols are described. The PRR protocol and its main components, authentication protocols, compression and encryption of PPP data, PPP tunneling protocols, including PRRROE, PPPOA, PPTP and L2TP, types of connection to providers.
Studying the IP version 4 and version 6, NAT technology, IP security architecture. The ARP address resolution protocol is considered, the Gratuitous ARP and Proxy ARP methods are considered. The ICMP version 4 and version 6 is described. The IPV6 address resolution, determination of the inaccessibility of the neighbor, duplication of addresses, detection of the router using the NDP protocol is considered.
A separate chapter is devoted to routing technologies. The architecture of routing protocols, routing algorithms are studied, the OSPF protocol is described in detail, including version 3. The fundamental protocols of the TCP and UDP transport level are considered. The description of the Telnet, SSH, SSL/TLS, DHCP, DHCPV6. The methodology for searching for faults in TCP/IP networks is set out.
The proposed practical work covers all the topics considered. The publication contains an extensive glossary. The textbook is the result of many years of cooperation between MSTU named after N.E. Bauman and D-Link for training for the scope of information and communication technologies
