Sports offers countless examples from each area of microeconomics, giving students the opportunity to master economic theory on the example of an interesting area for them. The textbook “Sports Economics” describes the basic economic concepts and theories significantly updated and recycled taking into account the current state of the sports industry and shows ways to use them in the context of the American and world sports industry. The sixth edition includes the following changes and additions: • more attention to international sports, including European football, • a processed chapter in a competitive balance of forces containing new methods, • a new chapter dedicated to global events such as the Olympic Games and World Cups, • • The fully redesigned chapter on amateur competitions, which describes exclusively student sports. This chapter also has a modular design, which allows teachers to easily unite it with other chapters if desired. The text of the textbook is supplemented by materials on the website containing resources for students and teachers. It is recommended as a training manual for advanced bachelors and master"s courses in sports economics
