"Russian Seasons" are the most famous theatrical tour in the world, organized in 1909 by Sergei Diaghilev, talented entrepreneur and popularizer of Russian art. For twenty years, Diaghilev’s performances went to the best European sites, the exquisite audience of the main capitals of the world applied to our artists, and the prestige of the Russian opera and ballet was first raised to an unattainable height. Diaghilev productions became a coup in the theater world, each of them turned into a bewitching, sometimes shock show with colorful decorations, luxurious costumes and delightful music. In this edition, we give an opportunity to tell about the history of "Russian seasons" to everyone who, one way or another, was involved in them: dancers and choreographers, artists and composers, officials and theatrical critics. Their revelations best convey the atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century, when the Russian ballet and theater not only expanded the framework of traditional art, but also changed the appearance of all world culture
