Any scientific or technical discipline requires programming skills. Python is the perfect first programming language, and this book is the best guide to study it.
Teachers of Princeton University Robert Sedzhvik, Kevin Wayne and Robert Dondero wrote an affordable interdisciplinary training course in Python programming, considering important and real cases of its application, not abstract examples. The authors demonstrate the tools necessary for students to study programming in a natural, non -core and creative way.
This manual focuses on the most useful means of Python and introduces programming with examples that are useful for each student of scientific, technical and information specialties.
Features of the book
Basic programming elements: variables, appropriation operators, built -in data types, conditional expressions, cycles, arrays, input and output, including graphics and sound.
Functions, modules and libraries: Organization of programs to components that provide independent debugging, support and multiple use.
Object-oriented programming and data abstraction: objects, modules, encapsulation, etc.
Algorithms and data structures: sorting and search algorithms, stacks, queues and symbol tables.
All examples from the field of applied mathematics, chemistry, biology and computer science are compatible with the Python version 2 and 3.
Based on their extensive teaching practice, the authors complet each section lists of questions and answers, exercises, and Often and practical exercises.
On the website introcs.cs.princeton.edu/python many additional information and auxiliary materials are available, including source code, input and withdrawal libraries, solutions for some exercises and much more. This website allows you to use your own computers to teach and study the material of the book.
