Being a programmer can be interesting and fun, but being a software developer is a real hell. Computers are logical, people are not. Alas, in the modern industry, software is not paid for programming. They pay for the development of software, and this involves the performance of tasks in the team - along with other people. Teams consist of wayward people, and not of Java classes and methods.
The success of the program project depends on smart engineers who are often lazy, ignorant, selfish, irritable and simply unhappy. Success depends on people who often do not know how to communicate, share knowledge, lead and obey, and also follow the instructions. It depends on our ability to form teams and participate in their activities. And from our social skills - sometimes to a much greater extent than from technical skills.
