The textbook is intended for students studying the course "Operating Systems". In the process of performing practical and laboratory classes, students must independently carry out laboratory work and study the Unix-like Ubuntu operating system. For additional study, the application presents descriptions of a number of modern operating systems, including mobile devices. In addition, the training manual presents instructions for installing the Virtual Box virtual machine application and installation on the Kali Linux virtual machine. Based on the instructions for installing and setting up a virtual machine, it is possible to install the studied Ubuntu operating system on a virtual machine.
