Real labor is devoted to a modern dance - a phenomenon for which there is no special term in Russian, and which usually requires clarification, for example, the English "Contemporary Dance". This study, at one time, was an attempt to find and theoretically justify the approach to considering the phenomena of modern dance from the standpoint of the philosophical discourse of the bodily, which has developed in the 20th century. This approach made it possible to understand the modern dance as a "symptom" that occurred in the non-obsessive culture of the “turning towards”, as a way of special, non-verbal, plastic, bodily understanding/mastering of a person’s situation in the modern world.
