Adam Pavlovich Glushkovsky (1793 - c. 1870) - Russian ballet dancer, choreographer, teacher. A. II. Glushkovsky created more than 30 ballets. His activities had a great influence on the development of Russian choreography of the XIX century. By his work and literary and critical works, Glushkovsky approved the progressive realistic trends of the ballet theater.
. In 1940, the book of A.P. Glushkovsky “Baletmeister"s Memoirs” was published. In this book, the author describes his memoirs about Moscow from the Patriotic War of 1812, about the Russian ballet school at the turn of the 19th century, theatrical life in evacuation, home theaters, etc. The author provides interesting information about wonderful artists not only of Moscow and St. Petersburg ballet, software and some provincial theaters.
