In the first part of the book, "Informatics", the history of the development of computing technology and the formation of computer science, the issues of presentation, measurement and storage of information, the number systems, logical foundations, architecture and computer devices, the basic concepts of operating systems and their file structure, system and applied software security. Particular attention is paid to the basics of knowledge of algorithmization, programming technologies, programming languages, as well as the MS Visual Basic object-oriented programming system. The second part of the book, "Information Technologies", sets out the issues of computer processing of text, numerical, graphic information, the basics of databases and knowledge, database management systems (DBMS), and the idea of local and global computer networks and knowledge about the means of creating web documents. The third part of the book, "Automated Information Systems", is devoted to the development and functioning of the AIS. Issues of the need to automate information flows, the composition and structure of the AIS, the methods and stages of their development, which provide the functional parts, types of AIS, and the development trends of information systems.
