In the course of lectures in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary General Education for students studying in the specialty "nursing", "obstetric case", the basic concepts of computer science as a natural science discipline are considered, and a general characteristic of the process of collecting, processing, storage and transmission of information is given. The hardware and software of computers is analyzed. A description of the structure and functions of a personal computer is given.
