This textbook is devoted to the description of the concepts, capabilities and experience of the practical application of the new modeling environment - GPSS Studio. The GPSS Studio modeling environment is the result of the unification as part of a unified software system for the popular GPSS World modeling language, programs that improve work with the language, and many programs automating other stages of simulation research. In terms of improving the work with the language, these are operational tips, a new text editor, an improved models debugger, a Russified and interactive standard report. The GPSS Studio implement the most modern information technologies for developing a model and conducting experiments with it. Particular attention is paid to the methods of graphic design of models, the automated creation of interfaces for entering the source data into the model, animation of results, an interactive analysis of the results of experiments with the model and documentation of research results. A distinctive feature of this tool is not only highly effective means of developing an imitation model, but also the possibility of creating a full -fledged imitation application on the basis of a debugged model, which is “configured” to the language of the subject area of the study and is understandable to specialists from this field. All this allows you to significantly expand the circle of potential users of the simulation method and take a new step towards creating a really massive simulation tool.
