Multimedia technologies are one of the most promising and popular areas of computer science. They aimed at creating a product containing a collection of images, texts and data accompanied by sound, video, animation and other visual effects, including an interactive interface and other control mechanisms. The manual discusses the types of computer graphics, describes the problems of the formation and management of color. Significant attention is paid to such concepts as resolution and size, as well as methods of compressing graphic information. The input, output and display devices are considered. In sections devoted to working with sound and video information, the basic properties of hearing, sound signals and their digital representation, methods of compression of sound and video information are considered, multichannel sound systems and sound processing methods are described. The methods of organizing video conferences are considered.
