The book is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding romantic dancer of the 19th century Fanny Elsler. The first part of the publication is the first to be translated into Russian by Auguste Erara “Fanny Elsler: the Life of the Dancer” (August Erar (August Erhard, August Ehrhard (1861–1933)-French Germanist, at the beginning of the 20th century, professor of the University of Clermone-Ferine ) The second part of the book contains critical articles dedicated to the work of Fanny Elsler, published in Paris-theophile Gauthier and in St. Petersburg-the authors of the newspaper Northern Bee.
