The textbook contains an algebraic basis and its application in coding theory. First, basic information is given on algebraic structures as groups, rings, multiple rings, matrices rings, linear algebraic equations, vector spaces, linear operators, bilinear and quadratic forms, fields, and final fields. The following are the basic sections of the algebraic coding theory: linear codes, cyclic codes, Bowza-Chudhuri-Hoquingham codes, Rida Solomon codes, generalized Rida-Solomon codes, alternative codes, goppa codes, McElis codes and the Netherraiter. Particular attention is paid to decoding algorithms that are mathematically justified and accompanied by numerical examples. Optimal alphabetical codes are also considered.
