This book is intended for developers who are already familiar with DAX and those who want to improve their qualifications using the templates presented here. Most of them use advanced DAX techniques, which the reader should master and use in their working scenarios. The authors pay close attention to scenarios using the functions of the logic of operations over time, and also consider the large number of really useful templates that are most common in practice.
For each template, demonstration files in Power Bi and Power Pivot for Excel are provided. Sometimes the versions of the code are slightly different. Preference is given to the Power Bi software product, in which at the time of writing the book is implemented all the current DAX news. The templates in question were checked in the June version of the 2020 Power BI, Excel 2019 and Excel for Microsoft 365 versions of 2006.
The authors of the book are one of the leading specialists in the field of business analytics who have founded the SQLBicom website, which regularly publishes articles on DAX and other Microsoft tools, and released a "detailed DAX guide for beginner users
