The manual is written on the basis of lectures read by the author for a number of years at the Permian University of Perm Faculty of Perm in the disciplines "theory of automatic control" and "design of digital control systems". It systematically sets out the foundations of modern theory of physical systems and technical devices. The foundations of mathematical modeling of control systems, the properties of feedback management systems and the main methods for analyzing the stability of continuous and discrete systems are considered, methods of traditional theory of optimal management, as well as modern adaptive and robotic management algorithms, are described. As a software product accompanying the lecture, a Matlab package was used.
