The third volume contains written together with the I.V. Staroduubrovsk book "Grand Revolutions. From Cromwell to Putin ". In the Book of Events 1985-2000. In Russia, they are considered in the context of the great revolutions of the past - the British Civil War, the Great French Revolution, the Russian and Mexican revolutions of the beginning of the XX century. The authors show that post-communist transformation in Russia may be better understood on the basis of historical analysis. It is proved that Russia survived at the end of the 20th century a full-scale revolution, which in its basic characteristics is surprisingly similar to the Grand Revolutions of the Past. This concept not only explains the causes and consequences of many key events in the country after 1985, but also makes it possible to understand the logic of further events in modern Russia
