In the era of the extinction of great traditions, the degeneracy of large cultural and historical styles Konstantin Nikolaevich Leontyev hoped to actuate the natural and spiritual resources of man. He encouraged to put questions of life and creativity at the big ontological depth. However, it is possible to understand Leontheva only when its heterogeneous activities and the striking "solidariness of the composition (expression VV Orosanova) are covered in full and clarify in internal and external relations. That is why it is necessary to collect Leontyevsky heritage, his critical understanding and publication.
The present assembly of works and letters includes all now known and affordable texts that were created by Leontiev as a direct expression of his personal thought, feelings and experience. Two quantitative and qualitatively unequivocal parts are made in the assembly. The first is the case of texts: artwork works, articles and essays on special topics, memories, diaries, letters, notes, outlines, plans, notebooks, testaments, autobiographical texts and materials. Another part is the texts drawn up or initiated by Leontiev during the professional classes and the performance of official duties (studies at the medical faculty, service as a Lekary, activities on a diplomatic field, service in a censorship)
